Crochet popcorn granny square

You can make so many things with a granny square, from blankets to table runners.

This granny square is worked with popcorn stitch and looks so beautiful.

In today's pattern i will show you how to crochet granny square with popcorn stitch, very easy to make and i am sure you will loce the final project.

So let's begin!

MATERIAL :

Acrylic yarn (or cotton) 

2.mm crochet hook 

Abbreviations :

Ch-chain 

Slst-slip stitch 

Dc-double crochet 

St-stitch 

Sts - stitches 

Popcorn st-Work 5 double crochet (dc) stitches in the same stitch.Drop the loop from your hook.Insert your hook from front to back under the top 2 loops of the first double crochet of the group.Grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch.

Row 1 :

Make a slipknot then ch 6,slst in the first ch to form a ring. Ch 3(count as first dc) make 15 dc in to the ring. Slst in to the first ch 3. 

Row 2 :

Ch 5(count as first dc +ch2), 1 dc, ch 2,in every st until the end. Slst in the 3ch. 

Row 3:

Slst in the next ch space, ch 3(count as first dc) 4 dc in the same ch-space, make 1 popcorn st, *ch 3,1 popcorn st in the next ch-space, reapet from* until the end. Slst in to the first popcorn st. 

Row 4:

Slst in the next ch-space, 1 popcorn st, ch 3 ×4 times, *ch 10, 1 popcorn st, ch 3×4 times, repeat from* until the end. slst in the first popcorn st. 

Row 5:

Slst in the next ch-space, *1 popcorn st, ch 3×3 times, ch 2,6 dc, ch3, 6 dc in the next ch-space, ch 2,repeat from* until the end.Ch 2, slst in the first popcorn st. 

Row 6:

Slst in the next ch-space, *1 popcorn st, ch 2×2,ch 2,2 dc in the next ch-space, 1 dc in the next 6 sts, 2 dc in the next ch-space ch 3,3 dc in the same ch-space, 1 dc in the next 6 sts, ch 2,repeat from* until the end. Ch 2,slst in the first popcorn st. 

Row 7:

Slst in the next ch-space, *1 popcorn st, ch 2,2 dc in the next ch-space, 1 dc in the next 10 sts, 2 dc in the next ch-space, 2 dc, ch3, 2 dc in the next ch-space, 1 dc in the next 10 sts, ch 2,repeat from* until the end, ch2, slst in the first popcorn st.
