Box stitch looks the same on both sides and lies flat.

Cast on a multiple of 4 sts plus 2.

Row 1 (RS): K2, *p2, k2; rep from * to end.

Row 2 (WS): P2, *k2, p2; rep from * to end.

Row 3: Rep row 2.

Row 4: Rep row 1.

Rep rows 1–4 for box stitch.
