With a few balls of soft acrylic yarn, I created this tender blanket , worked with double stitches and chain spaces that create small alternating diamonds, and then finished with a beautiful border with petals. The type of stitch, slightly openwork, makes it ideal for all seasons


Materials:

450 g wool blend yarn, wisteria colour

crochet 3 mm

Measures

50×60 cm. The edge measures 10 cm


Pattern:

1st row: start 117 chains and starting from the fourth chain, counting the one on the hook, work a round of double crochets (113), one on each base chain.

2nd row: 4 chain stitches (the first 3 replace the first double crochet), *skip 1 base stitch, 15 double crochets, 1 chain stitch*. Repeat from * to * for the entire row and to finish skip 1 base stitch and work 1 double stitch on the last stitch.


3rd row: 4 chain stitches (replace the first double treble crochet), 1 double treble crochet in the space of 1 chain stitch, *3 chain stitches, skip 2 double crochets, 11 double crochets, 3 chain stitches, 1 double treble crochet in the space of 1 chain stitch *. Continue from * to * across the entire row and finish with 2 treble crochets.


4th row: 1 chain stitch and 3 single crochets (one on the first double treble crochet, one on the second double treble crochet and one in the space of 3 chain stitches), 3 chain stitches, skip 2 stitches, 7 double crochets, 3 chain stitches, 3 single crochets (one in the space of 3 chain stitches, one on the double treble crochet and one in the space of 3 chain stitches).

Continue following the graphic diagram below up to the 16th row and repeat from the 2nd row until you reach the desired size.
