Crochet granny square

crochet, hdc - half double crochet, dc - double crochet, tr - treble crochet, dtr

double treble crochet, fp - front post, bp - back post, bl - back loop, tbl - third

back loop, Popcorn - 5dc in same st, remove hook from loop and insert from

front to back of 1st dc and into a dropped loop and pull through. To close

popcorn ch1. Ch1 counts as a part of popcorn st, Front Post Puff st - Yarn over,

insert hook from front to back to front around post of indicated st, yarn over and

pull up a loop, repeat 3 more times, 9 loops on hook, yarn over and pull through

all 9 loops, ch 1 to close front post puff stitch, tblsc2to - insert hook into thirc

back loop of 1st indicated stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, 2 loops on hook,

repeat to 2nd indicated stitch. 3 loops on hook. Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops

Row 1:(Color A). Slip knot, ch3, insert hook into 1 st chain, yarn over and pull

through to form a ring, ch2, 16dc into the ring. Join to 1st dc with a sl-st.

Row 2: (Color A). ch1 (does not count as stitch), fp puff st around same st,

*ch2, skip next st, fp puff st around next st* repeat ** 8 times, omit last fp puff

st. Join to 1st fp puff st with a sl-st, fasten off, and secure ends

Row 3: (Color B). Join with a standing popcorn in any ch2 space, *ch2, sc in

p puff st, ch2, popcorn in ch2 space*, repeat ** 8 times, omit last popcorn. Joir

to standing popcorn with a sl-st, fasten off, and secure ends.

Row 4: (Color C). Join with a standing fp puff st around fp puff st of round 2

working in front of sc of round 3, *5hdc in ch2 space of round 3, fphdc around

popcorn, 5hdc in next ch2 space, working in front of sc of round 3 fp puff st

around fp puff st of round 2*, repeat ** 8 times, omit last fp puff st. Join to

standing fp puff st with a sl-st, fasten off, and secure ends.

Row 5: (Color A). Join with a standing tblsc in any fphdc, *tblsc in next 3 sts,

tblsc2tog over next st and 2nd hdc of next group of 5hdc skipping (hdc, fp puff

st and hdc) in between, tblsc in next 4 sts*, repeat ** 8 times, omit last tblsc.

Join to standing tblsc with a sl-st.

Row 6: (Color A). ch1 (does not count as stitch), sc in same st, *hdc in next st,

dc in next st, tr in next st, in next st (tr, ch3, tr), tr in next st, dc in next st, hdc in

next st, sc in next 9 sts*, repeat ** 4 times, omit last sc. Join to 1st sc with a sl-

st.

Row 7:(Color A). ch1 (does not count as stitch), sc in same st, *sc in next 4

sts, in ch3 space (2sc, ch1, 2sc), sc in next 13 sts*, repeat ** 4 times, omit last

sc. Join to 1st sc with a sl-st, fasten off, and secure ends.
